We stayed here two nights before our trip to Sado Island. We had a double room with in-room bathroom and it was small but not tiny. There is a free onsen and free noodles at night. Tattoos are not allowed in the onsen but if you have a small one it might be ok. You can also add breakfast if you’d like. Dormy Inn is a chain in Japan and this was just like other Dormy Inns we’ve stayed. Clean, basic rooms good for a couple but best for a quick stay when you just need a place to sleep while traveling.

Nice location - within a 7 min walk from Niigata station. Nice amenities and little extras in the room and the hotel itself - for instance, toiletries in the lobby and the onsen area, mini icecream after onsen, nice ramen in the evening, etc. - lovely surprises. The breakfast is great - with local dishes, such as noppei, included. That's a cool touch.

Staff were great, room was larger than average in Japan, but the best part was the onsen Huge bathhouse opened overnight until 10am so you can access it in the evening, at the dead of night or after you wake up. Feel free to grab a popsicle (night) or a yakult (morning) after your bath as it is complimentary.

It is a typical nice stay with Dormy Inn, the room is just right, hotel is not new but definitely well maintained and everything is clean, the public bath is good and to combat the very cold weather, they offer items like outer jacket for the yukata, blanket, soaks...etc per request - that's a very nice touch.

Handsome Onsen ! I spent many hours everyday during 4 days . I will Côme back for it !!! (Maybe just reduce 2 degré for the water 😅😅). The localisation is nice and close station. Breakfast is nice , depend of the staff you have .
